 Thara D’ Souza

Spattering and sputtering sprinkling the trees

Pattering and pattering splattering the sheathes

Shattering and scattering splashing the panes

Rain like grains drains my strain.

Slanting and canting flipping the fields

Tilting and tipping dropping on leaves

Rippling and riffling bringing the bubbles

Rain, like grace erases my daze

  1. Like the very rain itself torrentially pouring on a tin roof, with its metrical clatter, this one batters away the inertia of matter and bolsters up my spirit. Thank you for the amazing rhyme and rhythm.

  2. Thara, your poem is so full of every thing about the rain…I miss it in hot and humid Dubai. Do keep writing.
